my top three women's health books that will change the game

Near and dear to my heart are these three women's health books that literally changed the game for me. They changed the entire way I had viewed all things periods, birth control, hormones and so much more for almost thirty years!

I'm telling you, you're gonna want to add these to your bookshelf. I've read some of them multiple times, and have looked back to reference things many times.

Here they are, my top three:

1 - The Period Repair Manual by Laura Briden.

Okay if you only buy one book from this list, make it this one! This is your guide to all things periods. Included in here are treatments such as diet, supplements, herbs, and natural hormones and sooo many good tips on how to make your period something that you don't dread every.single.month. She goes over what normal periods should be like, how to come off of hormonal birth control, how to talk to your doctor, and treatments for common period problems. Serisouly so much good info in here! This is one I have referenced many times and has helped me to dare I say, enjoy, my period every month.

You can buy it here on amazon.

2 - The Fifth Vital Sign by Laura Briden

This one, while written by the same author as my first recommendation has so much additional information to share! This one dives into what essential info your cycle could be telling you about your health. Topics include what a normal cycle looks like, the best way to chart your cycles, how to manage parts of your life that might be contributing to your cycles, and SO much more. This book truly helped me understand my health AND my fertility, long before I was ready to have a baby. It empowered me to take my health into my own hands and seek help for some cycle irregularities.

You can buy it here on amazon.

Now this one might be a little more niche, to those of you looking to come off the pill but I also HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who is on the pill. The info in here is truly mind blowing. Did you know that women on the pill are more likely to be prescribed an antidepressant? That the pill can cause unexplained hair loss, low libido, fatigue, and gut issues. This book dives into how to heal your hormone imbalances caused by the pill with an actionable plan for taking your control back. So much good information for those of you on the pill, wanting to get off the pill, or just wanting to learn more about what the pill is doing to our bodies.

You can buy it here on amazon. So there you have it! I can't recommend these books enough. Be sure to check them out and let me know what you think! Be prepared to have your mind blown!

If you've already read them, I'd love to know what you thought in the comments. If you're planning to read them make sure you come back and share when you're done. I can't wait to hear what you think!
